University of Southern California defensive end Armond Armstead was released from USC University Hospital on Tuesday, Trojans coach Lane Kiffin announced. Armstead, a senior, was admitted to the hospital Thursday to undergo tests for an unspecified medical condition. "I'm very happy to report that Armond was released from the hospital today," Kiffin said in a statement. "He is back with us, but he will not resume conditioning workouts until the results of all his medical tests are completed." Armstead, 20, started 11 games for the Trojans last season and recorded 43 tackles and three sacks. He is expected to start at defensive end as a senior in 2011 after he decided in December to stay for his final season. Read more: http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/ncf/news/story?id=6194622
