I remember a couple years back a couple Cub fans tried to take a goat into Enron Field (when it was still called that) in Houston for a couple key late season games. The goat was denied entry despite the fact they'd purchased a ticket for the goat and the Cubs won those games. So don't dismiss this goat thing.

Maybe we should have Blazer fans try to take goats to away games. I'm willing to buy a beer for anyone who tries to take a goat to the Laker game at Staples.

I was just thinking today about how cool it would be for a bunch of use to fly in for the Charlotte game because there's always seats available. I heard a funny comment from Nate mentioning that Gerald wasn't used to playing in front of a packed homecourt and he was nervous the first game he played in the Rose Garden with all the rabid fans there. It would be fun to do that for him in Charlotte. Anyone know Paul Allen and is he willing to fly a bunch of us in? Please advise, k, thx.

It is said that James, the brother of Jesus (and writer of the book of James) was nicknamed "Camel Knees"--a suggestion that his knees were as hard as a camel's due to his having spent so much time in prayer. As a request for protection of our teams' knees, I think a camel would be a fitting choice.

Flying a bunch of fans into Charlotte sounds a lot better than torturing an innocent animal.

I'm with crandc on this one, why kill the goat, sounds like bad karma to me.

I say feed and love the goat, heck even hug the goat (just don't let barfo anywhere near the goat) . . . that should bring some positive karma.

Anyone see Portlandia yet? They just added 8 more shows . . . not sure if that is good or bad

I have seen it... More shows is bad... I liked it better when everyone thought Portlanders were all lumberjacks. Portlandia's comedy is SNL-reject generic with some PDX backdrops. The comedy isn't about Portland, hell it's barely IN Portland.

Though the first part of the first skit in the first episode ("your chicken's name is Colin...") was pitch perfect and hilarious... then it got SNL-generic "woo hoo weird! FUNNY Hyuk Hyuk!"

    Fuck Portlandia.

yeah, I think they got lucky the show got renewed early on. Just finished last night the last 3 episodes. I think I laughed twice. Maybe mroe, just from a "Portland" perspective. but for overall laughs, just went to shit really fast I thought.

Intersting. I only saw the first episode. Very strange, but I thought it was kind of funny. Obviously didn't think it was funny enough since I haven't bothered to watch another episode and it is on demand. Was going to get around to watching the series, but not now.

Gold Rush Alaska on the other hand . . . caught the wholes series on demand. That show did not portray Oregonians in a postive light. Anyone seen that series: "No guts, no glory" says the old Oregonian idiot.

Good defense initiates easy offense. Having a center like what we anticipated in Oden could be that very piece. When a good center blocks a shot, that leads to a fast break bucket; that wouldn't have happened if we didn't get the block in the first place. Another thing I've noticed with Greg in the line-up was he naturally kicks the ball out quickly after a rebound; which again could lead to a fast break bucket. So maybe Oden doesn't score, yet is the facilitator of easy scoring; makes his importance even more bearing.
