I think the Suns and Heat will be in the Finals next year. That is not me being a Heat fan. That is what I honestly think will be the matchup. If Shaq and Wade stay healthy thats a great combo. Zo's inisde presense if he stays.
You guys don't seem to understand that with Amare the Suns are a VERY different team then they were this last season. You guys are all like, 'Wow, look at what they did this year and add in Amare and they will be the best team in basketball.'...Well it doesn't work that way.
BCB has a point.Remember a few years back when Webber hurt his knee? The Kings did well without him and when he got back it was like he was the odd man out. The one that will make this go the easiest is Steve Nash. He'll most likely make it like nothing ever happened. If he can take Tim Thomas and make him look like an all-star, Amare will be just fine.
Next year is gonna be like the early mid 90's all over again.. You have 4 teams in the west next year that are elite (Dallas, SAS, Suns, and possibly Clippers (prob not). You have 4 teams in the east that are elite, Miami, Detroit, Possibly Cavs, and maybe the Nets. also dont forget about the Pacers.Biggest threats are.. Miami, Dallas, Detroit, Phoenix, and probabbly San Antonio. With the new seeding its gonna be intresting.. these are my predicitions for top in the west and east.West.1. Mavs 2. Suns3. Spurs4. NuggetsEast.1. Miami2. Detroit3. Cleveland4. New Jersey
I think it'll probably be the Spurs as the No. 1 seed, although I think they're going to get knocked out by the Suns or the Mavs. The Spurs besides Parker and Ginobli are too slow to stop either of them completely, as the Mavs showed last year with their Harris-Terry lineup.
I'm sayin' Dallas...if we can keep JET then we'll be set...we're hungry and I know it..and yes I know I'm bias lolBUT, if we don't do it I think PHX will...with Amare back they're gonna be a problem..
I think that if the Heat have a great offseason and get or keep the necessary players they need around DWADE and SHAQ, I think they will be good to go. DWade did most of the work this playoffs as you can see by his MVP numbers. But the role players on his team also had to step up and help (Haslem, Posey, Walker, J-Will, Payton, Mourning, etc.) The main teams I see being in their way next year are the Mavs, Suns, and the Pistons (maybe, if they get their act together).

I think it's going to be:1. Mavs2. Spurs3. Suns4. I don't care1. Pistons still2. Heat3. Cavs4. NetsThe Heat weren't the number one seed this year, why would they be next year? The Mavs were almost the number one seed even with injuries. I still don't think the Suns will be better than the Spurs, but we might not have as many 60 win teams this coming year.Edit: I guess if you think the Heat are number one in terms of chances for the Championship, I'd agree more with that, but I don't necessarily think it's true.
If the spurs make some adjustments by getting younger they might be the best team again. Their top 3 players are under 30 so all they need to do is get younger in the other positions.

But as I said, if all goes well, it is very likely it will happen.
I do not think the Heat will end up winning it next year. Shaq is one year older so it be harder. I mean they got a very good chance of course, but I am just not so sure they will win it.Then you got DET, Dallas, Spurs who can beat Miami easy. And then the Suns, Clippers be better, and others will be better. So I would not bet on them getting a repeat.
