Let's be cpmpletely honset here:99.9% of is believed that LeBron was going to be the first big star to get a ring out of the 2003 draft class. Now that D-Wade has hia ring & finals MVP, is it right to say he will have a better career than LeBron, Carmelo, Bosh... pretty much everyone from '03? Or is Shaq the reason why Dwayne Wade is at this point in his career so early?

I think so.The reason the heat made it so far, it was because of Shaq. Wade would still be great, but not as great as he is now.

DWade is a great player, and I think he would have the same skills that he has right now even without Shaq, but the fact of the matter remains that he would not have a ring right now if it wasn't for Shaq.Wade won't have the best career out of the '03 draft class... but he'll be top three career-wise from that class.Oh well... Darko still beat them all. :HAHAHA:

Shaq was of course a big factor in all this, but Wade is better than LeBron right now, IMO. I don't know who's going to finish with the bigger and better career though. I would hope Dwyane, but honestly, I don't know. They're both going to be amazing.

I think LeBron will end up with more rings because he's younger and has a younger team but you won't be able to compare them. They're both great in different ways, and they're both going to be HOFers. I'm not so sure about Carmelo, though - I think if he were on the same team with another bonafide star then he'd be in the discussion, but he seems like a Charles Barkley to me. He might get there, but he won't be able to do everything for this team.

LeBron has enough talent to be an HOF (will be, IMO), but you can't garentee rings unless you se ethe team he's on. I HIGHLY doubt Wade will win another one with the team he's with now (all the 30+yo people).Unless LeBron is put on a team with another All-Star big man, he won't win a ring, becuas ehe proved this year he can't carry a team on his back.

He's also 20 years old. He needs another good player around him. Larry Hughes isn't that player. That team's just missing a piece or two. Let's not forget that he nearly carried them over the Pistons. It's not like Wade was going to get to the Finals without Shaq. LeBron doesn't need Shaq (Z's all right), he just needs another playmaker. When he gets that he'll win multiple rings. I think Wade might - MIGHT - be able to repeat next year if any of the older veterans actually give a damn but after that they're going to have to reload and he probably won't have another shot for five or six years.

How could a declining big man with bad knees and a huge ego help Wade. Wade has been wise not to pick up the characteristics of Shaq. Hes still a humble guy, and that makes him better than LeBron. He knows you dont always win every game. Shaq just kind of stands there, he doesnt make room for anyone, so I dont see how one could argue that he helped Wade's game progress. If anything, he helped Wade win, but most definitely not progress as a player. IMO LeBron has attitude issues and a massive ego, and that has halted his winning, and maybe even (at least I have heard...) made some of his teammates dislike him for that reason. Wade is the best player in the league at taking hits when he drives, and still doesnt even get as many foul calls as LeBron, which I think just goes to show how the league really wants LeBron to succeed. While they didnt even push the Wade angle, and no one never really though this kid could ball until last year. Summing up all his skills, and intangables (something Wade excells in...), I would definitely say Wade is the better player. LeBron is definitely the more flashy player, but Wade is the best all-around player.

Wade has had the most successful career so far, but I think that if he stays with Miami he wont end up with a better career then Lebron. This year championship could be his only one if he stays with them.

I think Wade will be winning more than LeBron. LeBron will have a better statistical year.

LeBron is three years younger than Wade and has had to shoulder a lot more of a burden early than Wade has. Once we see LeBron against next year we will come back down to reality.

Shaq has made Wade's game look alot better. And, he has had alot more shots and open oppurtunities. He can also take it the rim. But, Wade is one of the best closers in the league.

Personally, I still think Lebron is the better player of the two. That would be the ultimate one on one game- Wade vs. LBJ.Seeing Lebron put up a hell of a fight against Detroit without Larry Hughes for most of the series was very impressive. That justified my thoughts about the two, even seeing DWade score 30+ points on numerous occasions.Easy Question:Who would you rather have,Zydrunas Ilgauskus, Eric Snow, Drew Gooden, Donyell Marshall, Larry Hughes, Damon Jones and Flip Murray...-or-Antoine Walker, Shaq, Jason Williams, Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning, Udonis Haslem, and James Posey? That's simple. Miami's supporting cast was much better, much the reason that the Heat went farther in the finals. Before you say Wade is better, and will have a better career, look farther into the teams and the stats.

Everyone forgets about Mr Darko Milicic or however you spell his name. Hes sitting home with a championship ring already [IMG]
