Mixum said there was no way the Blazers would win yet he is now saying the loss is shameful because the Bobcats are a team the Blazers should beat every single time.

Keep protecting the village idiot, mods.

Don't be silly. A loss is better than a win. Builds character.

    Exactly.

Of course, the Celtics and Jazz also had their seasons come to an end yesterday, so it wasn't ALL bad.

Okay, then beating Miami in Miami should count at least twice.

It sucks that the blazers lost. It really does. What sucks even more than that is mixum.

What really sucks snakey? The jazz, suns, grizzlies, rockets all lost this weekend. We made no ground. This was our chance. Gone now.

    Suns destroyed today.

Mixum is right these were must wins games! Cupcake games, and they will come back to haunt us....:sigh: That said.... games we were meant to lose and win like Miami and Orlando may just balance us out! Hopefully the team will put away the easy ones hence forth...

Losing winnable games this late in the season speaks to the level of team we are. IMO, it wasn't the 4th quarter that killed us in the Bobcat game, but the 1st. We pushed out to a decent lead, but didn't do what really great teams do, which is to step on their neck. We let them hang around instead of pushing the lead to 15+ early and getting them to give in. The great teams discourage the bad ones from giving 100% because they plant the seeds of doubt in their mind early. We're a good team, not a great one.

Good point, and I seem to recall a similar problem in Atlanta. Solid lead near the end of the first, and then suddenly some YMCA-style slop-ball mistakes turn it into a 1-point deficit. I had a feeling it was going to be a rough night then and there.
