Well, it's officialThe New York Knicks my hometown team have turned into the new los Angeles Clippers. They can't get a good coach (Just like the Cilps weren't able to), no team chemistry, and a retarded owner (Donald Sterling isn't that great either, but James Dolan makes everyone look perfect). How much longer do you think the knicks will be like this?
As a Sixers fan... hopefully forever.Realistically... I think they just need to clean house from top-to-bottom, and start over. Fire Isiah, get a GM in there that knows what he's doing, has a vision, develops a plan, and sticks with it.Obviously, the fans are going to be impatient, but you have to start at some point, and the sooner you start the sooner you get done. There is no point in delaying the process of rebuilding by stockpiling shoot-first guards with huge contracts and egos, while still losing 60 games a year.
They will bounce back eventually, on paper they look like a good team but nothing is working. They just need some better coaching, maybe management. The clippers are good now. The KNicks will get better soon, just as the clipps did.

It's funny how the big market cities have poor teams. The NBA really needs New York to have a good team. Good thing Jersey is moving there. The Knicks will be bad, but things might go up once Jalen Rose and Jerome James' contracts are finished. They have a nice core of youth, although trading Ariza was a bad move. They need to keep either Marbury or Francis, I'd keep Steve if I were Isiah. They could load up on first round picks with players like Quinton Richardson and Jalen Rose once thier contracts are in their final year.
Somebody put a time-frame on it I'll start by saying.....4 years until they make the playoffs again. They will be a #6 seed and get knocked out by the Magic the #3 seed.

I dont like this move by new york at all. I havnt like a move they have done since I dont know when. Things just keep getting worse. And what is going to be bad for us net fans are that knick fans are going to start to like the nets because they are going to NY now.
the knicks should improve without the pressure of brown but they won't be good for a few more years. i'm gonna say about 2-4 years till they're in the playoffs again and that's being very optimistic. i do not see them going far as long as zeke is the coach or the gm. i've been saying this for a while, he should be a scout because he has eyes for talent. i can't take any more of this losing. they're no where near as bad as the clippers. the clippers were just plain bad. they never really had any good talent until they got brand and Q. before that they were awful.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jkidd51524 @ Jun 22 2006, 04:58 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I dont like this move by new york at all. How to lose:- Play selfishly- Play with no hustleThe Knicks are packed with players that do both those things, namely Jalen Rose, Stephon, Francis, Curry, Crawford. Their selfishness is even running off on guys like Nate Robinson. If the Knicks play an up-and-down game this year, win some shcokers, they might win 25 games.
The Knicks will be like this until they fire there gm. And it was stupid to fire Larry Brown when he was not the reason they lost last season.
He played a big role in it. He tried to make them play his way, in halfcourt sets with grind it out defense. The problem? The Knicks had no one who could play defense and were packed with athletes who wanted to run. It's like trying to grab a soda when you don't have a hand. It just won't work.
Like most people have said, they need to rework everything. I was never a Knicks fan, but i followed Oakley almost his entire career, so you could call me a ''casual'' fan maybe, although i havent really watched many games since 00', the team has gradually declined since the sprewell days. I do think though, that this team will be the clippers, and i just cant see how this team could get any better. And they're already terrible. I dont know, but Knicks fans have a real mess ahead of them for a long time. I'd fire Isiah(although i've always supported him) and just have him coach and try to get a gm who isnt so nice.About isiah though, he isnt a stupid GM. he has a very high basketball IQ, but he's kind of in a hole, whether or not he dug it himself is disputble. But he has added a lot of great players, but again, he doesnt do well at all balancing cap or at building a team. But he is an average GM at worst, he's not as bad as he's made out to be. He inherited a very old team, and tried to work around their already major cap problems.

Anyone who brings in Jalen Rose, Stephon, Jamal Crawford, Steve Francis, and Eddy Curry on the same team is a horrible GM. He built a team of athletes, selfish players, and no defense, then brought in a stubborn defensive-minded coach. What the F*ck do you think is going to happen?I don't care what anyone says, Isiah is a horrible GM
No kidding. The Knicks need to just get through this, stick with the guys they have and wait out the contracts and add young talent along the way, it will be a terrible process but it needs to be done to start over. And if they do this Knicks fans need to shutup and accept it because they are half the reason this has happened.
