via ESPN: http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/mave...1/carlisle-i-voted-aldridge-for-all-star-team Respect. Now Blazer's get him the darn ball!
Eventually it'll be "if all 15 WC coaches voted for me, why didn't I get in, huh?" then he'll go Hulk on all of them for lying to him.
No shit. Kick him in the ass. Kick his teammates in the ass. Feature LaMarcus, get him the ball on the move and in the post, and force the other team to deal with it.
I used to groan when we'd start every game "establishing" LaMarcus. Now we're all trying to get him more FG attempts.
I used to groan every game we'd established him, and then forgot about him! I knew it was only a matter of time and practice before he would dominate. And even now that he is, we still forget about him!
It annoys me that it seems we have started going away from LMA more, and we aren't playing as good of basketball as we were when he was dominating. I'm curious how much of it is that teams are game planning around stopping him versus we seemed to forget that we should be going to him down low.
This is exactly the sentiment I was going to post. If this isn't buttering up LA, I don't know what is.
It's my hope that LA absolutely dominates tonight in a Blazer win and then says, "I didn't want to make Coach Carlisle look bad by his All Star vote for me."
You are all wrong. Carlisle's sincere, warm feelings for Aldridge should be returned with a hearty hi-oh. Shame on you.
More praise, rightly so: http://www.portlandtribune.com/sports/story_2nd.php?story_id=130025532765450300
