I have the same feeling. draftexpress reported earlier, they're making a serious consideration to choose Aldridge..

They are hiring Spain's GM to be their assistant GM, if that doesn't scream Andrea Bargnani I don't know what does. The Aldridge stuff seems a little wierd to me. :dunno:

I guess we'll just have to see. It's a good pickup though ... getting one of the most respected GMs in Europe. Might attract more Euro players to come to TO. 6 more days ..

I too have a feeling they will take Aldridge. He is a pretty good player and a great big man.

Looks like Aldridge could fall to 4, something Blazers would most likely enjoy. Any reason to those 3 cancellations for the Bobcat workouts?

If they don't then yeah he'll probably go 4th to the blazers.

Yeah, they'll take Aldridge imo. They need a C badly. Rudy Gay could be who the Raptors select in the draft, as well. They also need a SG. But first you gotta take Aldridge, the Raps have no interior presence in the paint. I assume Mo Pete will start at SG if the Raps take Aldridge over Gay, even though Mo Pete is better off as a 6th man, imo. I just dont understand why the Raps would select another forward...this Bargnani kid may have great talent, but they already have Chris Bosh, Charlie Villanueva, and Joey Graham at the forward positions.

LaMarcus Aldridge, i'll say it again is no more a post presense than Chris Bosh on offense or defense. Nobody is listening to me.

Isn't Bargnani taller or the same height as Aldridge? How is one considered a forward, and one a center Zards? I can see them taking Bargnani simply because they have the time to develop him along with their other young players. Bargnani easily has the higher ceiling and a better gamble then Aldridge. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I assume Mo Pete will start at SG if the Raps take Aldridge over Gay, even though Mo Pete is better off as a 6th man, imo</div> He practically started most of their games at sg last year alongside Mike James.

That dude needs to get some upper body strength before he'll be able to play center effectively

LaMarcus Aldridge? He weighed in at 234 pounds at the camps...He's even skinnier than Andrea Bargnani.

When did centers need upper body strength these days? I find that to be a joke. If Aldridge is good enough to play center, Bargnani can play center especially with centers getting smaller.
