In the AL I am going with Joakim Soria. It's so horrible that he cannot close down the game for a good team but when he gets the ball handed to him he does his job. In the past three seasons he has a combined total of 110 saves. With a dominate 1.83 ERA.

In the NL I am taking none other than Brian Wilson. There is a reason why they say fear the beard. Over the past three seasons he has had 127 saves with a 3.05 ERA. Making him not only talks for the best closer in the NL but the league.

    Your thoughts?

I agree with you on Soria in the AL, but I'll go with Heath Bell in the NL. They have the highest rated WPA for relievers.

If Heath Bell can put up one more 40+ save season I will consider him a candidate for best in the NL. But he has only been closing for two years now and has two straight 40+ save seasons but I want to see one more good year out of him. Especially now that the Padres no longer have A-Gon.

    I can't go against Mariano.

Heath Bell is a solid choice. So is Brian Wilson.

We really need to change this rep system because everyone of Thrilla's posts is rep worthy.
