Newly crowned British lightweight champion Anthony Crolla will be making his first title defense against 30-year-old former world champion Gavin Rees on the undercard of the Amir Khan vs. Paul McCloskey fight on April 16th at the M.E.N. Arena, in Manchester, England. Crolla is coming off an impressive 9th round stoppage win over John Watson in February. Rees, a fighter that likes to throw a lot of shots and put a lot of pressure on his opponents, is going to be a very opponent for Crolla, because he’s a lot tougher than Watson and won’t wear down the way he did.
