One guess for number 1!!! FAKERS FANS. It's a list of 15 to 1, with 15 being the worst.

    "15. Los Angeles Lakers
    Starfuckers"

Haha, GQ's naughty word, not mine.

Next on the list: Duck bball.

    14. University of Oregon Basketball
    Hecklers from Hell

With a firm dedication to taking taunts too far, the Oregon Duck faithful have a storied history of degeneracy that can be traced all the way back to the days when someone beaned legendary coach John Wooden with a half-eaten apple. But the crowning violation of the school's "Code of ConDUCKt" (their unforgivable pun, not ours) occurred in 2008, when former Oregon high school standout Kevin Love dared return home playing for rival UCLA. Ducks fans distributed Love's cell-phone number before the game and left him some 400 voice mails, featuring such witty messages as "If you guys win, we'll come to your house and kill your family." Once in the stadium, students proceeded to (a) hold up signs enumerating the ways Love was a homosexual, (b) throw food at his family in the stands, and (c) call his grandmother a whore until she cried. Way to get in the old lady's head, Oregon!

Well deserved. Too bad they couldn't have tied the Laker "faithful" for worst.

I hope every person who treated the Love family like that (whether or not Stan is a prick has nothing to do with this)... fornicated themselves with a branding iron.

Yep, they definitely crossed a line, yelling "WHORE!!!!" at Love's granny and little sis until they both started to cry. But that's the problem with U of O basketball fans. To them*, there is no line - anything goes, even death threats.

*yes, I realize not ALL Duck basketball fans behave like this, but enough of them do to tarnish the repuataion of their fan base and the program.

Splitting hairs here, but I'm pretty sure it's counting down 15 to 1 with 1 being the worst.

#2 and #1 Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies

This is quite a bit more searing description than being bandwagon like the Laker fans:

I paid money for a student ticket (because I was too lazy to stand in line for 3 hours) to go to this "Love"fest. I purposely wanted to participate in his taunting and from where I was sitting by the pit crew I didn't hear anything as bad as the articles all say. We weren't nice, but I never saw things being thrown or any taunts about his sexuality. I have never really bought that we were all that bad to him. I think a lot of it was media hype.

I was in the Pit Crew for the game when Love was there, and to be 100% honest, I didn't see anything directed at his grandmother or sister. I'm guessing it was a random fan, not even in the Pit Crew.

I did photoshop a picture of Kevin boxing out his dad (who was wearing some REALLY short shorts from his days at Oregon) and captioned it "Father and son JUST DO IT!" Picture Kevin bending over and his father with a dirty 70s mustache and shorts about 4 inches long on behind him. I threw the Nike reference in because of he and his dad's "feud" with Nike. His dad did pan the Pit Crew a lot with his video camera. I wonder if he ever watched that footage.

Needless to say, the sign was hilarious and his teammates were laughing at it, but Love didn't look into the Pit Crew a single time. Then crowd management took the sign away. The next day, I read a statement from the UO President about how they can't take "offensive" signs away because it violates the freedom of speech... I was violated that day, and I am pretty sure the reference in the article "hold up signs enumerating the ways Love was a homosexual" is 100% directed at me. :)

Honestly I was hearing "Love's a fatty" from where I was. I think my section didn't get the message that we were supposed to be dropping chants like that.

I wish I could find that picture of Alex that they ran in SI with him screaming at a very dejected looking Love, that pretty much says it all.

I grew up with season tickets to the Phillies. At a very young age I was taught to boo our own "bums" when they didn't perform. It's a pretty fun place to see games actually...
