Ok. This is the game in this stretch of meh that I predicted a loss in. Hard to justify it right now, but I stand by it. Thibodeau's minute control of the player's egos will falter for this game, the guys will get too puffed up, Indiana will go unconscious, and we'll lose. Hope I'm wrong. Gladly will eat crow. Go Bulls!
I like strong predictions, even if I hope they won't come true. Crazy-T, as the crew at the Basketball Jones has been calling Hansbrough, is playing the best ball of his career so anything is possible. I think the Bulls have Indiana's number, especially since this is really a home game and the Bulls fans will be out in force.
Just want to point out something that was pointed out to me elsewhere -- the rebound differential we have is number one in the league by far, and is historically good. > 5 extra possessions for our team, per game!
KCJHoop K.C Johnson CBooz out again vs. Pacers. If Boozer were to play tonight, Hansbrough's recent string of good games would continue. Since he is not going to play, I like our chances with our 4 bigs playing defense. We even have Deng if need be
I spent some time last night looking for second chance points numbers and came up empty. I have a feeling that the Bulls' might be some of the best of all time. How many times do we see Derrick Rose breakdown the defense, pull the center and power forward with him, and get up a soft shot that doesn't go in? And then Boozer, Noah, Gibson, Asik and to a lesser extent Brewer or Deng, are camped out under the hoop for any easy conversion. It must happen five of six times a game.
Mike Wells: MikeWellsNBA Mike Wells Haven't been to my media seat courtside yet, but word is Conseco looks more like the United Center with all the red and black in the stands.
Pacer TV asking could this be a preview of the first round of the playoffs? Well not without Boozer, no.
