As you Sixers fans have seen there's obviously rum0ors going around that have AI going to Atlanta or Golden State. Well I was thinking if he went to Atlanta and we recieved the 5th pick who would we take w/ it. Also what other player from atl do you think we'd recieve??? I do wish we could somehow get the top pick fom Toronto though. That way we could definetly get one of the top 3 big men in the league.
If Allen Iverson is traded to Atlanta, we'd get the 5th pick, and one or more of the following players (in no particular order):Josh ChildressJoe Johnson (doubtful)Josh Smith (doubtful)Al HarringtonMarvin Williams (doubtful)Who we would take with that 5th pick would largely depend on who we receive in return, and whether or not there are any good big men remaining who are worth taking with the 5th pick.Our priorities for this draft are to add a PF for the future, and an athletic swingman for the future to pair with Iguodala. Who knows, we might trade the pick in another deal... Adding the 5th pick (although it would be at the expense of Iverson) would just give us more flexibility in potentially achieving those goals.
In my mind, It's almost guaranteed thhat we'll get childress. Theres no way their gonna trade J. Smith, and they announced that they didn't want to trade Marvin Williams. There might be a Sign and Trade with Harrington added on with the Chilldress and the 5
