"Mo Williams' final season with the Cavs was ultimately fairly miserable, but his good memories will always outweigh the bad.

Williams' Los Angeles Clippers beat the Cavs on Saturday 100-92. He is adjusting well to life in Los Angeles, but will always fondly remember his time in Cleveland.

''I have nothing but great memories. Not good memories, but great memories,'' Williams said. ''Great memories outweigh the bad memories, trust me, by far. I had some great times. I had some great teammates. I had teammates that will go on to the hall of fame that I played with in Cleveland.''

Williams had 11 points and five assists against his former team and has looked rejuvenated since the trade that brought the Cavs Baron Davis and the Clippers' first-round pick this summer.

Williams is averaging 16.3 points and shooting 42 percent on 3-pointers. He averaged 13.3 points and shot 27 percent on 3s this season with the Cavs.

''When you get fresh starts it's always a breath of fresh air,'' Williams said. ''But at the same time, you never forget the past, and the past has been great.''

Williams was shocked when he learned of the trade, he said, but only because his name was never mentioned in trade rumors. He heard many of his teammates' names come up in discussions, but never his own.

Williams said on New Year's Day he wanted to remain with the Cavs and be part of the turnaround, but he seems pleased to be playing alongside Blake Griffin in the Clippers' rebuilding efforts. The Clippers have already endured their rough days, and Williams believes they're close to breaking through - much closer than the Cavs."
