"Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter is scheduled to visit the Eagles, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

Hunter carried for 1,548 yards as a senior, averaging 5.7 yards per carry and scoring 16 touchdowns. During his four-year career, Hunter piled up 4,181 yards and 37 TDs on the ground.

Per Wilson, Hunter (5-7, 199) is receiving second-round grades and drawing comparisons to Chargers running back Darren Sproles.

He ran a 4.53 40 at the combine and posted a similar time at his Pro Day. Hunter prides himself on being able to do several things well.

"I wanted to show (NFL scouts) I could do everything, not just run the ball," Hunter told Brandon Chatmon of The Oklahoman. "Show them, in person, my speed, my explosion and I can catch the ball and field punts and kick return."

As I've mentioned before, backup running back could be a need for the Birds, depending on what happens with the CBA. Jerome Harrison has five years of NFL service. If the league operates under 2010 rules, Harrison would be a restricted free agent. That's why the Eagles tendered him at a second-round level, meaning he would almost definitely be back."
