Tito Ortiz has pulled out of this fight after being cut and requiring stitches.

    Phil Davis faces Nogueira instead.

Pretty sweet free card IMO and replacing Tito with Davis makes it that much more interesting.

Leonard Garcia will fight Chan Sung Jung instead of Nam Phan.

Sounds like a good'n. Both are rematches everyone wants.

Garcia has five split decisions in his last six fights! (three have been fight of the night)

Garcia will almost always be involved in close, split decision victories because of his fighting style. He goes out to stand in front of his man and to throw wild haymakers with all of his power in each punch, and that makes for opening him up to taking a lot of punishment in return. It's good for the fans that want to see that kind of action, but not good for ever advancing his career or for his long term health. I don't think anybody thinks he won his last fight with Sung Jung, and even less thinks he won his last fight with Nam Phan. While the free attacking style is fun, I personally like to see the slightly more controlled technical aggression in fights, such as Mark Hominick/Yves Jabouin. I'm with the majority expecting another split decision, and I can't really call who wins.

I think that this is yet another rough matchup for Little Nog. He has struggled with wrestlers in his last two bouts, and neither was as athletic or as highly decorated in their amateur wrestling careers as Phil Davis. I'm seeing Davis being able to bully Minotouro around and take at the least a lopsided UD, because he won't submit Rogério.

Johnson vs Hardy is the bout everyone wants to see. Hardy has long been the only English fighter I actually like. The rest of those guys aren't funny, Hardy is hilarious in my opinion. I really want him to take this, and his straight boxing should be able to stand up well against Johnson's athleticism and 4 inch reach advantage on the feet. That said, if Johnson uses his wrestling though, this could be a long fight for Hardy. In the end while my heart will be with Hardy, i'm thinking Johnson is too athletic and will use his wrestling to win this fight with a third round TKO.

Yeah Outlaw vs. Rumble should be fucking great. I love Hardy too but you have to imagine it'll be another Hardy/Condit type fight and I get the feeling Rumble will win the key exchange again.

Re: UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis (Mar. 26th)

    Fight lines:

Davis is 3-to-1 to beat Little Nog.
Rumble is nearly 2-to-1 to beat Hardy.
The Korean Zombie/Leo Garcia match is even. I would tilt it towards Jung but what do I know...

The safe bet underdog seems to be Sean McCorkle vs. Christian Morecraft. McCorkle is a +160 underdog but I expect him to win.

I think Hardy is worth a small bet if Johnson wants to stand and bang. Or if you're confident, throw a shit load down on Rumble. I'm weighting for the weigh ins to see if I'm gonna throw anything down on this.

Why do you think McCorkle is a good underdog bet?

Big news: the UFC has decided to stream five fights on Facebook instead of two.

The McCorkle, MacDonald, Hathaway, Madsen, and Semerzier fights will all be on Facebook starting at... 7? I think?

Re: UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis (Mar. 26th)

Glad to see that Anthony Johnson made weight, with his known struggles to make weight sometimes. Said it already once but going to say it again, I'm really excited for him and Dan Hardy, I think that could really be fire works.

Runbjm, I agree I can really see that same type of finish with Johnson being the one to give it. He has as much KO power as anyone else in the division, and if he lands cleanly it will be good night. I think the UFC often overrates Hardy's power. He had the one knockout against Markham, but that is all he has really done. He did stagger Davis and Swick in those fights, but he never had the power to actually finish anyone outside of Markham.

First time I've ever tried to watch the prelims on FB. This media player is unbelievably shitty.
