Apparently they put extra tickets up for sale three times for this event... good crowd in Seattle. I would imagine a huge chuck is from BC and Alberta.

Another good fight so far from McCray and Hathaway... so far so good with this event. Supposedly the Lentz fight was really good too.

Russow/Madsen sucked, probably could've called that on paper, doctor mercifully put it to bed during the second intermission.

On to the main card. High hopes for this show.

I feel cheated by Rumble. I mean he did what he needed to do to win, I respect that, but he promised me a standup war!

Re: UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis (Mar. 26th)

^ Guess he said what he thought would help him tactically... Hardy was unprepared for the take-downs (imagine that...).

Very impressed with Korean Zombie's twister finish. Hardly ever see it in MMA.

Very impressed with Sadollah's beat down of Johnson. Amir looked great.

Not thrilled with Johnson's and Davis' wins but they gutted it out against tough opponents.

The Phil Davis vs. Jon Jones hype train is derailed. Davis' striking is stinky and his take-downs are not there yet. He needs another year or two.

Great undercard, great prelims, not so good main and co-main, but for a free show--pretty happy.

Dan Hardy not getting cut following his third consecutive loss, but probably needs to win his next fight to stick around.

Let me see if I get this straight:

The show was on the west coast.

The people on the east coast got to see it live; on the west coast, we got stuck seeing it on 3 hour tape delay.

Despite the delay, the editing/production still stunk.

Sometimes, I really hate Spike TV!

The commercials on Spike are NUTS. Seriously like 20 minutes of commercials between fights and at the end of every round they cut to commercials about 2 seconds after the bell rings. If memory serves the commercials are nowhere near that bad on CBS when SF has events on there nor when UFC does shows on Vs. When the hell can the UFC get a TV deal with a company that will value the product and not ruin the viewer experience?

Is he really that close to being cut? I figure hes in that class with guys like Nate Diaz, Clay Guida, etc. who can get away with losing 3 or 4 in a row in the right circumstances because they put on good fights, have a bit of a following, you can throw em on any card (free ones included) and make the card a little bit better. Hardy's really better than those two as well. Just got GSP then lost a slugfest with Condit and then got wrestled to death by a massive Rumble. Hardy will put on good fights if his opponent will fight with him and hes a big English star. Another loss and he'll be in trouble but I don't think hes on the chopping block quite yet.

That twister was fucking sick by Jung. MAcDonald-Figeuroa was really good too. Its a shame that Rumble wouldn't stand with Hardy and Phil Davis was a little disappointing.
