I see a few additions:Sign Ruben Patterson from free agency. He is a good player who brings solid perimeter defense which what we lacked the most in the regular season. He brings in a bit of offense with 12-13 points per game but also shoots a high field goal percentage at 51%for his career.Sign/Trade for a backup center.Zo was brought in to play minutes for Shaq, the fact that he was good defensively was just a bonus. We need a young center who can play backup minutes and might be the new starter for the near future.Sign a backup Point GuardPossibly a Speedy Claxton or a Bobby Jackson? I would love to have both of these guys backing up Williams, both are proven as players and will bring energy from the bench with decent scoring. I would prefer Speedy because hes younger but I don't know how much money they would ask for.I think thats all for now really, as you can see our main problem is our bench. I hope Pat goes and explores the free agent pool since theres lot to look for there and we don't have much to offer in a trade besides Posey and both Andersons. If we can get those things done I see us being a serious threat for a repeat next year.

i like the idea in getting speedy claxton, hopefully riley thinks of him as a serious candidate because i dont really see payton coming back and i think we need to have a good back up pg, maybe janero pargo can be a cheap choice hes a pretty good player what center you think we would be looking at for backup

We deffinately need a new center. Doleac is younger but, he isn't going to bring a whole lot to the team. And, maybe draft a younger quick Point Guard to replace the soon retiring Gary Payton. I don't know about Speedy Claxton though. I think it would be better just to bring in a rookie with a bright future.

Patterson is not a FA, so that idea is a bust. I don't think Speedy fits the bill for what the Heat need. They need a more controlled back up who focuses more on getting other people involved. Speedy is a scorer for the most part, although he can get others involved, I don't think he would be a good fit for the heat. Doleac is an ok backup but he is no Zo. Not sure they would be able to get much of an upgrade, Zo is not replaceable.

Speedy can pass but we need the bench to score points for us. This year, Zo and Gary hardly combined for 15 points, especially in the playoffs. We need someone who can pass and score at will and Speedy/Bobby can both fill in those roles. As for the backup center, I doubt it's going to be Doleac. I'm sure Pat will look to get someone else, Doleac won't cut it.

We need an outside shooter that can also defend a little bit on the perimeter.
