EBU heavyweight champion Alexander Dimitrenko (31-1, 21 KOs) successfully defended his European Boxing Union heavyweight title with a 12th round TKO of Polish challenger Albert Sosnowski (46-4-1, 28 KOs) on Saturday night at the Universum Gym in Hamburg, Germany. The fight was close until the 28-year-old Dimitrenko ended matters in the 12th when he landed a monstrous right uppercut to the head that put Sosnowski down and out.
