Former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik's(Above) return to the ring was made official on Monday, when Top Rank announced that he had officially been added to the Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley Showtime PPV undercard on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pavlik has not fought since losing the middleweight title via decision to Sergio Martinez last April. He has had two stints in alcohol rehabilitation, but has been out since January and is ready to resume his career against Alfonso Lopez(Below) in a scheduled 10-round super middleweight fight.

We are delighted to add a fight for Kelly Pavlik on this card. He has been inactive for awhile but we envision his return as coming back better than ever," Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said in a statement.

Pavlik (36-2, 32 KOs), 28, of Youngstown, Ohio, won the middleweight championship by knocking out Jermain Taylor in September 2007 and beat him again on a decision in a non-title rematch. Pavlik made three defenses of his crown, but also suffered a lopsided decision loss to Bernard Hopkins in a non-title light heavyweight fight in 2008.
