How do you clear up Cap Space in NBA Live 2006 in Dynasty Mode? I am trying to do a trade, but it cannot go through because I do not have enough cap room.
You have to make trades with teams with cap space for players with lower salaries then you are giving up. You can do that or just wait until some of the players you don't use contracts expire and don't resign them and sign cheaper ones. There is no simple, easy or quick way to do it. It can be done though I got the Knicks(going into a dynasty with their roster now) 25 million under with a winning team in 3 years. It took some transition periods with like Chris Webber and Eddie Jones being on the team for a season but in the end it worked out, it was fun to do.
Ok. Right now it is my first year in the Dynasty and I just completed the Fantasy Draft. I got Dwyane Wade, Carmello Anthony, Tony Parker, Kwame Brown, and Dikembe Mutombo as my starters (haven't done any trades yet). I am trading Mutombo and one of my bench Center's for Jermaine Oneal. The other team will do the trade, since they have a lot of interest in both of these players, but I do not have enough cap room. I am -4.05 or something....
You can still make trades... just make sure the contracts add up to a similar number. So, say the players you want to get off your team make like $24 million that year then you have to take back around $24 million in salary.Don't take into account what they make in other years, just this year, but check the contract lengths because you don't want to give up too many expiring contracts.
