http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...s-where-greg-oden-could-jump-start-his-career OK, the first two are conditional and the Memphis one is very plausible. The two disagreements I have with the list are Golden State (Oden wants away from the west coast) and Boston (a very old team with no real future).
so glad that the Thunder got Perkins takes them out of the Oden race. I see maybe Memphis and the Blazers. But I think that memphis may go with Gasol and ZBO...just build on that.
the thread title saddens me. Unless it's talking about neighborhoods he's looking at buying a home in (LO, Beaverton, SoWa, the 'Couv, HCP's basement--as long as Greg still lets us still play D&D there on Friday and Saturday nights--Clackamas, Troutdale, Pearl)
You may have hit upon why Oden's knees never recover. He's putting too much force into them while HCP's gone.
I don't think Oden will be gone, but if he does, I wish him the best. The guy has really gone through the ringer here.
The figure on the qualifying offer is staggering. No knocks on the greg-ster, but to go much higher than that on him a GM would have to be drunk. If the philosophy is to pay a player based on what he has done, then those were some valuable 82 games he played. I'm all in favor of making the offer, but a single dollar more is equivalent to going to vegas and putting it all on black.
