I liked the last line in the story: "For Rivera's sake, we can only hope that Mark Cuban does not hang out around her awkwardly at home games."
Dress glued to boobs to prevent Oops moment. Common practice in pageants, or so Howie tells me. He used to be a hair dresser.
Fabulous dress, but skinny girl. If she's supposed to be black, she's a racist's dream of what black women should look like. I guess she's supposed to be a compromise of all races, a moderate's dream, but I don't want moderation. If I ever went native I'd want the real thing, not someone designed by committee. As for some people having all the luck, remember that she has latched onto a young tall muscular millionaire. The wenches line up for NBA players after games and at the bars. Walk onto a college campus and half the girls are just as cute.
Only in the NBA is 6' a midget. Lol I watched him play last night. Had good seats. The dude is relentless. With a very quick release. She can't be too happy about that........
This peaked my curiousity, so i googled it. This is just one source but I found it interesting that the average white american male is 5'10 1/2, the average black american male 5'10", and the average mexican american is 5'7" . Not sure where Puerto Rican Americans fit in on that scale. Barea could be a giant for his race. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height
I don't think she's supposed to be anything. She is what she is. Not sure why you need to compartmentalize her. 1 out of 3 ain't bad (if you're a baseball player). J.J. Barea is neither tall, nor muscular (and, he's ugly, to boot). But, he is wealthier than average. By the end of this, his 5th season in the NBA, he will have made $6 million, which is about what the average NBA player makes in a single season (MLE). If Miss Universe was a gold digger, she could have done a lot better than J.J Barea. BNM
Huh? Who said she was black? And who's the "racist" who's dreaming of what black women should look like? Who said she's supposed to be a "compromise" of anything, and who are the moderates in this scenario? Most of all, who cares what kind of woman you are interested in? Why should we care about you--this story is about J.J. Barea and his girlfriend.
