    Making his first Opening Day start, Clayton Kershaw showed why the Los Angeles Dodgers have been so high on him for three years.

    The left-hander struck out nine in seven dominant innings and Matt Kemp scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error by catcher Buster Posey in the sixth, sending Los Angeles to a 2-1 victory over the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants on Thursday night.

    ugh that was a miserable game, lincecum loses on an unearned run, hope this isnt a sign of what the giants offense can do....not to make excuses but kershaw is one of the best pitchers in the game as well, and we have always had trouble with him
