He definitely had a nice game.

At the same time though, most of his work was done 12ft and out. As we've seen with Aldridge his whole career, those shots don't always fall for him. Honestly that was just a very good shooting performance he put on and not exactly easy to replicate every single night.

What I'm getting at is the new Aldridge was putting up 25 a night, but he was doing it by scoring in the paint and making strong moves towards the basket and getting to the FT line. That's the Aldridge the Blazers need in the playoffs, not the one that shoots 12-18ft jumpers.

Hopefully he's doing his best to "take it easy" and still win right now. I'm hoping he's just too tired to establish himself in the post and is saving it for the playoffs. If it isn't there in the playoffs, the Blazers are in trouble.

15 rebounds weren't from the outside. That really surprised me.

Enough for what? He's tired. Is he injured? Exactly how many minutes should he be playing? Should we try to NOT make the playoffs so he can get more rest?

You're jumping to a lot of conclusions in this thread.

Attack the post and not the poster.

    Oh, wait.

I guess rules don't apply to the All Knowing Stomp.

Your reaction to my calling you out for long-time trashing of posters concerns over the minutes issue, sorta proves my point. You have a fucking attitude about it. Get over yourself.

your whole post was one train off the tracks stream of conciousness rant that had right about nothing to do with my posted opinions. My response was to a bluster filled fact free post.

the all knowing STOMP... hadn't I referred to myself as a non-expert ("an arm chair observer") in the post you quoted? That indicates I'm fully aware that I'm anything but All Knowing. Check the two word blurb under my avatar if you need further confirmation of what sort of value I feel my opinion carries.

In the post prior to your rant I stated that not all the long tenured NBA front office types are experts as evidenced by bad decisions, but long tenured NBA execs/coaches certainly tend to be more then us posters. This whole comment was in response to a ridiculous view that lyin'BrianGrantfan was trying to pin on me (in multiple threads) that I claim posters who agree with me are experts. I've never said anything of the sort. I'm sure that there are some experts in their respective fields among us, but I'm not aware of any of us being in the field of NBA basketball, let alone with 20 years of experience in the league seeing whats what behind the scenes.

Further I said that "If we want to criticize the opinions of the experts, the burden of proof is on our side as to why they're wrong." So it's fine to call out Nate, Dumars, Popovich (or whoever), but back it up with something (stats, exmples) besides hot air or you just look like angry sports fan. In support of Nate's opinion that playing 40 MPG is fine for a healthy stud player in their prime, I've trotted out umpteen examples of HOF players who played even more minutes for multiple seasons. What have you given in support of your opinion?

and why put "no nothing" in quotes? As near as I can tell you're the only one in this thread thats made this spelling gaff. Who were you trying to attribute this to??? or is this just you being you attacking posts made by imaginary posters?

How exactly did I trash the two posters in my initial response? By saying a coach with 20+ years of NBA experience that they're labeling as a bonehead & dumbass probably has a better idea of what he's talking about with player then they do??? Thats the trashing of posters that got you shot out of a cannon and cussing at me? Seriously??? I didn't call them names or degrade them in any way. Using your own standards, your flailing reaction to my opinion was nothing but a trashing attack... pot meet kettle and then some.

LA had a hell of a game last night. It seems like he has a bit of energy back. The pace of the playoffs slows, so he should be fine for the rest of the season.
