The Rochester Rhinos announced today that they have come to terms with goalkeeper Joe Marino and midfielders Drew Cost and Michael Tanke.

Marino, is a Rochester native who played collegiately at SUNY Brockport. As a senior the McQuaid graduate posted a 0.61 goals against average in net while recording a 13-2-3 mark. His efforts earned him Third Team All-American honors. Marino set a Golden Eagle record by recording 11 shutouts in a single-season.

"Joe is a very athletic keeper that will continue to grow with experience and refinement, said head coach Bob Lilley."

During one stretch he posted eight consecutive shutouts and finished with a 796-minute, seven-second scoreless streak helping push Brockport to 13th in the nation. He made 18 starts in 2009 going 9-6-3 and posting a 0.91 goals against average.

Cost, a graduate of Penn State University, was a 2010 Second Team All-Big Ten selection and Academic All-Big Ten selection. He finished his senior season with three goals and five assists, placing him fifth on the Nittany Lions in scoring. His three goals tied his career high set in 2009 as a junior. "Drew is a versatile player that can play multiple position's at midfield and is technically sound with both feet, said Lilley."

Tanke, a native of Niles, Michigan, was one of only five players to start in all 18 games for Rhode Island University last fall. Overall he appeared in 65 games for the Rams during his collegiate career.

"Michael's desire and mentality is why we signed him. He's a ball winning midfielder that is willing to do all the dirty work for the team, said Lilley."
