The Premier League is exploring how to implement a winter break into a packed calendar, the league's chairman told a British parliamentary inquiry into soccer on Tuesday.

Demands for Premier League players to be given a midseason rest like in Spain, Italy and Germany intensified after England coach Fabio Capello blamed his team's second-round exit from the World Cup on the squad arriving in South Africa too tired after the grueling domestic campaign.

All of England's regulars play in the country's top division.

I would welcome this break as Arsenal seem to crumble during the second-half of the season. If you're a top four club in England, you're definitely going to be playing in the Champion's League, Carling Cup, and FA Cup as well as the Premier League. On top of that, there are Euro Qualifiers and Friendly's throughout the season which can also take a toll on the players.

I would rather see them implement some sort of goal line technology as I believe that should be the top priority for all the football associations and their respective countries. There are literally handful of events that have happened throughout the season that have been incorrectly called.
