I came across this old Slam poster with the 96 draft class (AI missed the shoot but had the cover of the issue) on it while I was in Philly this weekend and during a studio session this poster turned into a 4 hour argument over who's the top 5 players from this draft. I had Kobe #1, Nash #2, Iverson #3, Ray Allen #4 and Marbury #5. The biggest argument was that Iverson should've been ahead of Nash but I feel like Steve has had abetter career then AI. The 2nd biggest argument was that Iverson should've been ahead of Kobe (I obviously was in the studio with some crack heads) and the 3rd argument was that Camby should've had the 5th spot over Marbury...what ya'll think? Here's the link to the poster and some footage of the rookie game from that year:

I pretty much agree with your list.

Inclined to go against the grain and put Iverson second ahead of Nash. Both will be in the Hall.

I would put Iverson ahead of Nash. Iverson still made it to the Finals and lost to a Lakers team that has the best postseason record in NBA history. Plus Iverson's overall career is more impressive than Nash's.

Where would you rank your boy Marbury?

    How's that?

Iverson's the better scorer, but Nash has been one of the most efficient guards ever with his shooting, not to mention he's a much better playmaker. And the last time I checked, Nash is still the best player on his own team. Iverson isn't even in the NBA.

In their prime, i'd take Iverson over Nash by a smidge, but Nash has had the better overall career imo.

Iverson over Nash, IMO, and it's not even close.

Iverson will go down as the best man his size ever. Nash never played in a finals game, but Iverson pretty much carried his team to the finals at least once.
