I'm thinking the Magic are really going to have a big year. Dwight Howard seems ready to absolutley explode and the way him, Nelson, and the rest of the team was playing at the end of the year last year really should make their fans excited.

There is also no leadership on that team. I like the Magic but I don't think they will do anything totally unexpected, they still need a couple pieces and a player like Ronnie Brewer from the draft.
Im going to stick with the magic. I have said it all along that they were going to come out hot next year. they went on a tear at the end of last season beating many teams that were either fighting for playoff spots or teams trying to protect their spot. They have a great young duo in Jameer and Dwight so im expecting big things out of this team.O yeah BCB, i remember when this thread was done about a month or so ago, you were saying that what the magic did at the end of the season wasnt that big of a deal and that you didnt think it would reflect on how they would do next season. Well, im glad to see that you finally jumped on the bandwagon!

That doesn't really reflect on how they will do this season though. It says that they can beat some of the good teams in league when the Magic try. It could possibly end up hurting them, make them think highly of themselves and not play with the same intensity and heart they did at the end of last year. I don't think they will do that, but it is always a possibility.
Some teams, when they win a few big games will think they are better than they really are, and will get cocky. One player on the team could get the crazy idea he is the reason, and start shooting crazy shots and not playing team ball. I have seen it a few times, just go look at the Pistons during the playoffs. They got cocky, didn't play as well, or as good as a team
Look out for Toronto. I always said they'd neer make it, but with Chris Bosh evolving and with hopeful additions, look out for a playoff team no one wants to face
Valo is 100% right, lots of teams get cocky. Anyways, I think the Magic will for sure. Great young team and if they draft the right player in the draft I think they could be as high up as a 3 seed. I hope Nelson becomes an all star this season so my dollar bill that he signs might be worth something.

If the Celtics can acquire a dominant big man, theyll be a decent seed in the East. Theyve got a solid core now, and are a dominant big man away from being a good team.
Watch out for Milwaukee, They will be a top 5 Eastern team next season. Tj Ford will be 100%, Bogut and Maurice Williams will improve drastically, Redd and Bobby Simmons are going to be in there prime.Add in solid bench play from Charlie Bell and others, It could get scary.

And look how that turned out. I dont think its going to be the same for the Magic though. I think Howard is going to have a great season and maybe lead the Magic into the playoffs as a 7-8 seed.

I think we should look out for Orlando for sure with Nelson, Howard, and Darko. Also Toronto with Bosh has a chance to surprise people.New Orleans with Chris Paul has a chance to surprise some people.
