I just have a feeling. I don't know if it's because I have Mexican blood running thru my body like all the cholo ass gangster Laker fans or the fact that there is not a single cloud in the sky and so sunny out for the first time in 7 months! I don't know FAMS........ I don't have a good feeling about this.

I posted yesterday that I thought the L*kers would try to make a statement because it appears we'll be their first round opponent. I also don't think we have an answer for their front line length and bulk. When we used to hammer them at the RG when we sucked it was because it was our playoffs; we were up for the game and they weren't. When we were healthy and would hammer them at the RG, it was the combination of Roy and our length in the frontcourt. Now they're up for this game and we have a clear advantage at only one position: PG. At the SG, SF, PF, C, Bench and Coaching, we're even or at a deficit.

I'm expecting an ugly night. If it's Blake that sinks the dagger, I'll be bummed.

Is Camby out for tonight as well? With Camby playing, we have an advantage at 2 positions: PG and SF.

so there SF of Ron Artest and Luke Walton/Matt Barnes beat out Wallace/Batum? I don't think so Artest isn't close to his prime and aside from his defense which varies everygame his offense isn't that good anymore. If you asked anyone Wallace or Artest they'd tell you Wallace. Matt Barnes isn't as good of a defender as Batum and isn't as good offensively as him. Luke Walton seems as useful this season as Luke Babbit.

I know it's a controversial position, but I think Ron Ron--when he's on his game--is pretty much equal to Crash. He's big, physical and can shoot from the outside. As for Nico, I consider him to be part of the bench, and I think the L*ker's bench is better than ours. Odom should be 6th man of the year.

I haven't heard anything, but I don't think Camby will play tonight. That was a hard crash he took and I'm sure they want him ready for the playoffs. On the other hand he may realize how big of a game this is and say fuck it!

I'm going to tell you this is a guaranteed win. The Lakers are basically a lock at #2 and the Lakers would rather face memphis or NO than us. I think they play this game relaxed and whatever the outcome is what it is. I can actually see us winning big against them. I also feel Roy will come out strong for this game. He usually is a Laker killer and I suspect he will try and make a statement this game.

I don't think the Lakers actually fear us, but would rather Portland take Dallas or Oklahoma to a 7, while they sweep the first round. And I think the Lakers possibly think that Portland could be the only lower team that can beat the upper in a 7 game series. Who would the Lakers rather face? A Dallas team worn down in a 7 game series, or a Portland team they feel they can beat at any given moment.

Some of you might remember back in the 80's, the Lakers were here and it was the last game of the season. Pat Riley benched all his stars cause they had HCA rapped up thru the playoffs. No Magic, Kareem, Worthy, none of 'em! I think Stern fined the Lakers for that.

And the Blazers handed them their worst loss in the history of their franchise to top it off.

When you use the weasely qualifier, "when he's on", you are now creating a pool of NBA that expands to easily half the players in heavy rotation.

Either the dude brings it most games or he doesn't. And excepting players working their way back from injury, I just don't see the point of talking about a player being equal to another player because, "when he is on" he can be just as good.

Like most any starter in the NBA, Artest can do things and if our team expends all of its energy and attention on Gasol and Kobe, Artest MAYBE could be an X-factor. But, if you haven't noticed, Artest has spent much of the season punting on his opportunities to be an X-factor. Dude has sucked a lot. And been good a little. He is lucky he is a Laker or he would be fast on his way out of the league.

I take our small forwards over theirs, thank you.

I think Portland is the only team the Lakers could face in the first round who would likely win a game or two against them. We've historically been extremely tough for the Lakers to beat in the Rose Garden.

For that reason alone, I think LA would prefer not to play us. Just sweep one of the other teams and rest up for the second round.

Personally, I think Memphis is a tougher first-round matchup for the Lakers than we are.

I believe it was 1990 - and we would have kicked their ass anyway (but no Kareem at that point).
