Bank on it! If we somehow managed to get the 5th seed; L.A. will drop to 4th. If we get 6th, Lakers will land 3rd and if we get 7th, Lakers stay at 2. I hate to say it, but we are going to have a tough first round against the Lakers. Personally I love it! As much as I hate the fact the Lakers are probably the worst first round match up for us; we need to go through them to go far in the playoffs. The best game 1 we could win against them is when they are in doubt.
I want the Lakers too. All four teams are tough. We might as well get the matchup that will get us the most national attention and will mean the most if we beat them.
Well you've known me for years King. You know how much a post season series win against the Lakers will mean to me. I get to gloat to all my Laker friends here in SoCal. I thought I had it in 2000, but we knew that outcome. I had a call with Sly and we talked about this. This has been the first time since the Drexler Blazers that I have no doubt that this team has the ability to beat any team in the league. I truly believe it too.
