Oops, I read the first 5 posts, posted about creampuffs, and later read the posts about gay people. My use of the word creampuff will be seen as connected to the later posts unless I clarify. I didn't see the signature in question, but I can imagine.

Vanilla, I know you've gotten that from friends and TV standup comedians, but please be different from them.

The word "gay" should remain a synonym for "homosexual" and not become a general putdown, as in, "It sure is gay that it's raining today." Similarly, decades ago the word "communist" became a general putdown of practically anything, and the recent word "terrorist" never did have any specific meaning that I can decipher.

Actually, it should remain a synonym for "happy," which was the original meaning. The word has been co-opted by the homosexual community and it makes no sense, since homosexuals are certainly not any "happier" than the rest of us.

I never call anyone or anything gay. I also never say the homosexual slur that starts with an "f".

Back to topic, what about the clauses in Brandon's contract? He has to play a certain number of games and other stipulations to get his full money, no? I would feel kinda bad not paying the guy, but then again, he's making millions and millions and unfortunately cannot live up to that contract. It's a sticky situation. Anyone remember, can find the actual fine print in the contract?

The contract is 100% guaranteed. Even a buy out will guarantee he is paid his entire contract.

I thought that some of his contract was based off incentives where he had to play a certain amount of games to get his money. That he only got some of the money as "bonuses" if he met certain criteria, or was that just rumor?

That was Camby's contract extension, wasn't it?

I like your takes on basketball and think you're a good person. But damn, you have a warped sense of reality when it comes to your anti-heterosexual, all males are filthy perverts and fake tits are the devil, crusade.

I think we may be seeing Roy's last games as a Blazer because if a salary can come off the books in the next CBA, as seems likely, then Roy will be waived- be it for salary cap or luxury tax reasons. He's a shadow of his former self, sad as it is, and would be a lousy defender even if he adjusts to be a spot up shooter. We can do better- Matthews is already much better.

Oh, and I could comment on the whole gay discussion, but will say only that i'm happy that, in California at least, bigotry is on the decline. In the chatroom, hypersensitivity is always at a high level!
