His 15th technical, or the 15th they've rescinded for him?

Stern gives Bryant a gift, and Kobe repays him by punching a chair, berating an official, and allegedly calling that official a slur.

Yet, as posted earlier, Andre Miller's consecutive game streak is ended for a disciplinary reason. Fuck David Stern. This type of crap is EXACTLY why I don't want the Blazers to play the Lakers in the first round.

Fucking hilarious. I wonder if the ref thinks it wasn't meant to offend him.

I don't care that Kobe outed himself as a bigot. I sure as hell DO care that he wasn't tossed from the game, like any other (non-Laker) would have been.

Why wouldn't YOU care that Kobe and Stern, once again, prove that the league has a different set of rules for the Lakers? It could make or break our season.

    Go Blazers

I would hope a large segment of Castro Street takes a trip up to SacTown tonight dressed in their best drag holding signs saying "I'm a Fucking ***got".

Same reason he wasn't kicked out of last night's game?

It was the technical he received against the Blazers on Friday that was rescinded.

Is that like Jon Kyl saying his statement about Planned Parenthood in the Senate was not meant to be factual?

So, let me see. If someone called a white ref a f---ing n----- it would be OK because you see he is white so it clearly is not to be taken literally?

You know what else is a fine irony, is if Bryant is forced to apologize for his language, admittedly inexcusable but still words, when he has not apologized for rape.

As far as I know, the league, Stern and the rest of the NBA has done nothing. I guess if you are a friggen laker, rules no longer apply.

My best guess is that he will get some token slap on the wrist, a small fine or some such crap.

I'm pretty sure it was the tech that he received from tying up with Perkins that got rescinded. It was actually a good call, I hope they rescinded Perks' tech, as well. There was absolutely nothing there to warrant a tech. So they hugged a little bit?

If I did on national TV, I would definately be branded a bigot. Players like Kobe crave the big stage, then when that stage bites them in the ass, they claim victimhood.

Mamba, that is off the point. The name he called the ref, regardless of what it was is moot, his actions are what is in question. The fact that he gets away with this shit is a blatant objectionable form of favoritism that Stern shows and allows to thrive in the NBA.

I don't know if you watched the game, but there were horrible calls going for both teams. It is no different than the treatment Durant, LeBitch, and Wade, get.

Kobe should've gotten T'd up again for punching the chair and throwing the towel. In fact, I think that is worse than calling the ref a fucking fa.ggot. However, if you going to try and convince me that Kobe gets more superstar calls than anyone else in the NBA, it won't work. I know I have my homer glasses and you guys have yours, but the calls he gets in comparison to Wade, Bron, Durant, Rose, and a few others is minimal now. I don't have a problem with him not getting superstar calls anymore because he's made his bed for years by barking and bitching at the officials.

Fair enough, I allow you your opinion, although I disagree. We are diametrically opposed on this. You at least know you are a laker homer, and there by not a reasonable or rational human being.

Looked more like Kobe was aiming for the chair, but instead punched Joe Smith.
