hey only played 16 minutes last night...the guy needs to find some rhythm. he will still have multiple days to rest. with most likely camby LMA and gerald sitting..i think its a good game to let roy feel out his game before the playoffs. bad idea or good idea?

I agree. He needs to play to get a feel for the game.

I think we should put Roy in the fridge like an expensive bottle of wine and only open him when the time is right. I'd keep him on ice until a big moment in a big game and tell him to use everything he's got.

I don't know what to do with Roy. He's like a piece of China in a bull shop. Every time I watch him play (just like Oden), I'm half-expecting him to come up lame any minute. It's horrible.

If it were a normal team, I'd agree. I don't see him finding a rhythm against a team like Golden State, however. Also, he'd be surrounded by players who won't be seeing meaningful minutes in the playoffs.

Couldn't have typed it better myself. He can gain nothing by playing in this summer league game tonight.

Agreed. Nothing to lose but Roy being out for the entire playoffs. Not being sarcastic, but he needs to give it his all. This maybe his last season to gain any glory with the Blazers. He could be our 10-15 bench player the rest of his career. Put it all out there stud!

Nope--48 minutes of Mills, Johnson, Babbit, Johnson, and Barron. Maybe Rudy can play if we need one sub.

I say play him. Honestly, what he has done the last month, while however valliant, has not helped the team much. I'm not sure if he has been a negative, but certainly not much of a positive.

So basically, if we lose him for the playoffs by playing him tonight, I honestly don't feel like, in his current state, we are missing much. If, however, he has a chance to just go out there, not try too hard to get LA his touches and just be the man, at least, just maybe, he'll remember what it was like before and raise his game up a small notch closer to where he was.

If that happens, that's a huge asset in the playoffs.

I say the gain of possibly getting him a little more on track is well worth the risk of not having him in the playoffs at this point, as sad as it is to say.

I love Brandon as a player and a member of this team, but if he can't help the team out there, at least I know Patty is a pesky defender and can get to the rim and make things happen and Rudy is able to hustle and make some plays and sometimes get hot.

I think Roy needs to work on his ball handling skills and maybe even get some confidence in that step back jumper. . . I say play him.
