The Brood: Edge, Gangrel, and Christian WWE star Edge has retired on the advice of his doctors following an MRI that revealed a narrowing of his spinal column. Edge had fusion surgery some time ago and his spine has narrowed above and below the fused section. He had been suffering from numb and trembling arms and hands of late. He had talked about retiring earlier in the year, but it was more directed towards a couple of years from now. Guess his ware and tear on his body was too much to take.
that lame scene they setup, where he was walking off stage, and all the wrestlers were clapping for him...that is what makes me think it's part of a storyline.
I can't imagine that this is part of a storyline. Everything that I've read stated that it's legit because he was no longer able to get medical clearance to wrestle. Obviously, I'd love this to be part of the storyline, but I really doubt that it is. On this subject - it absolutely sucks that he's retiring. He was one of my favs in the business right now and it's unfortunate that he has to go. But if it's what's best for him, then I can deal with that. I'd rather he retire now than have to retire because he's confined to a wheel chair.
He probably had a positive steroid test and didnt want to be banned for the next 50 wrestling matches
