Good points; there's a lot to think about there.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Telling people what to do with their money or how to be a fan is taking the team flack position a bit far. You work for the team and are an unapologetic company man, which is fine. IMO, it gets a little obnoxious when you start writing screeds about what a "true fan" is, especially when it involves lots of money spent on tickets.

So let me get this straight... a Laker fan is going to come in here and tell us that we need the troll back?

You're more of a friend to the Portland family than he was... what does that say?

Yeah, I was kind of getting the feeling that things were too calm around here - too full of anticipation for a team that, for the second year in a row, persevered through ridiculous injuries to key players and is (for the first time in a long time) days away from their first playoff series that they have a very good chance of winning. All in all it just seemed it was too good a feeling to be a Blazer fan.

I reminisce about the days when no matter what the team did good or bad, we always had one member here that was smarter than us, better than us who would take any bit of good news and turn it into something bad. And take any tiny bit of bad news and flame it into a raging inferno. Ah yes, those were the days! Gone are all the mornings we awoke to warm, steamy piss in our Cheerios. If we want piping hot urine in our breakfasts now, we have to unzip our own pants and piss on it ourselves! Frankly, I'm too lazy to do that every morning so, yeah, bring back the DJ.

nothing wrong with having an alternative point of view, in fact i used to appreciate the difference, but my god - he became intolerable and more and more baiting. was just so fuckin tiresome.

The people who miss him are the ones who like to stir the pot. It's not a coincidence.

I don't miss him, other than he added an entertainment element to the board. I do think it's a bit naive to think that those who campaigned for his banning didn't bait, troll, and stir the pot with him, though. Now, there are more posts then ever of the "great post/repped!" variety, with the same rep circle demonstrating the same groupthink. Disagreeing with an opinion outside of the small huddle is considered "trolling".

Plus, you just stirred the pot with your post by calling out other posters, which is a bit ironic.

+1, differing views are great and part of what makes a forum interesting, but there is a line of HOW one's views are expresses ed - Mixum lived on the other side almost all the time and "so fuckin tiresome" sums it up nicely

I actually didn't rep you. I guess there is a cap on how much rep a person can hand out every 24hrs.

I was just being a smart ass. :)

Post/debate quality has taken a huge hit since he fell victim to entrapment by the morality board.

He's paid his "debt to society". Time to end this farce.

Anyone else find it strange that the moment Mixum was banned was the moment the Blazers started firing on all cylinders? Maybe Mixum is a Laker voodoo fan that used S2 to jinx the Blazers. Whew, glad the mods took charge for the Blazer's sake! :P
