The Game was UNREAL last night, I couldn't have imagined it being that exciting. After two miraculous goals, I tell the people behind me, "this is more exciting than a Blazer Game!" And what do they say, "Blazers!? There's a handful of them right up there!" I immediately ran up the stairs to Rudy and said hello before the security backed me off, it was so cool, Patty, Rudy, Nic, and Wes were just hanging out with the crowd.

When the Timbers scored again, Batum threw up three goggles and was running around with excitement! I'll never forget it, throwing them back at him both smiling, EPIC.

Good the see the lads know how to watch a soccer match; standing.

I've never sat at any soccer match I've ever been to; it just wouldn't feel right.

If you had to rank sports in Australia by popularity, how would you rank them? I figure Aussie Rules Football and Rugby would be more popular than soccer, but I'm not sure.

    Popularity is a tricky one.

There's a definite divide between Australian Football/Rugby states (different football codes are played in different states, and the divide is bitter), and winter/summer sports.

Overall; attendance and TV ratings are in favour of Australian Football (AFL specifically), but the largest participation rates are in golf, and soccer.

If you're talking about professional/semi-professional sports, I'd rank them.

Australian Football (is the best attended sport per capita in the world; and IMHO the best sport in the universe.)
    Rugby League
    Cricket
Soccer (but the A-League is deliberately played in summer to avoid the other football codes; it would be lower if it took them on head-to-head.)
    Rugby Union
Swimming (we're fucking obsessed with it , and delight whenever we beat you, because you're our only consistent challenger for world dominance.)
    Tennis
Motorsports (the most popular easily being V8 Supercars.)
    Golf
Basketball (used to be massive in the 90's, but died in the arse due to poor administration.)
    Netball
    Cycling
    Surfing
    Surf Life Saving
    Triathlon
    Baseball
I'm sure I'm forgetting plenty, but you get the picture.
