<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Star Tribune - The Timberwolves are rumored to be talking to the Denver Nuggets about a trade that would bring forward Kenyon Martin to Minnesota for Marko Jaric and somebody else, possibly Ricky Davis.</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/410...ap_with_denver/I would DIE if we did this trade. I would do anything to get rid of K-Mart.
I was just about to post this I don't know if this would benefit Minnesota to well, there giving up probably there best shooter in Ricky Davis to get another forward when what they need most is depth and experience. After Martins injury and attitude problems I don't know if he is worth trading for that huge contract.
That would be GREAT for Denver, and TERRIBLE for Minnesota. For Denver, getting a 20 pt. scorer and freakishly athletic SG is a major need, plus Marko Jaric is a 6'7'' combo guard. Minnesota can get a better deal/package for Ricky/Jaric than an overpaid, injury prone big man. If this does happen though, Denver is a scary team next year with Miller/Davis/Melo/Nene/Camby with Boykins/Jaric off the bench. Plus this 2nd round can actually get them a decent player in the draft at 49 to play some backup minutes, like an Alexander Johnson, Craig Smith, Eric Williams, Nik Caner-Medley, Ryan Hollins, Hassan Adams, Brandon Bowman, etc.But again, for Minnesota - terrible. But maybe those KG/Bulls rumors are true? They bring in K-Mart, then add Deng/throw-ins from Chicago? I don't know, just thinking lol.
Nuggets are getting three thumbs up here and Wolves getting crap. But, if this happens do you think KG will move to Center? Or be shipped away to another team.
I don't like this trade. Kenyon can't play the 5, and he can't play the 3. I don't see them bringing him off the bench either, because he'd kill someone
Is this a serious offer? I might not doubt it knowing Kevin McHale. Makes no sense for the Wolves considering Martin's contract and the fact that he and KG play PF.
I am praying this will happen. Gets rid of 90$ injury prone K-Mart and gives us another scorer to go along with 'Melo and a shooter in Jaric.
I like it for the Nuggets, they have Nene who can come in and replace Martin and they fill their biggest hole in the lineup, SG. Davis and Jaric will do well for Denver and they get rid of Martin. I guess the T'Wolves are thinking of putting KG at SF if they can't trade him. Banks/McCants/KG/Martin/I dunno who their C is.Denver still wins in this though
Minny be stupid to do this with Martins big contract, and with his injuries. And why give Davis for him when they still got a chance to package Davis, and other stuff for AI. WOW some of the rumers are nuts. lol
That's the funniest rumor I've read. And "possibly somebody else", inserts a player's name. At least make it sound convincing, but on the trade rumor, makes no sense for the Wolves. Their taking on a big contract player that plays the same position as their franchise player. On top of that, they trade two guards they need to keep since they've lost Marcus Banks(to Lakers) and Rashad McCants(surgery). That team would be worse off then now, and that's saying something. For Nugs, whoever they get for Kmart, is a plus and they fill the need at the 2 and get a decent player in Jaric. But this is the worst rumor I've heard in the offseason so far.
