<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Chicago Tribune - Larry Hughes reportedly complained about the role he found himself in with Cleveland to his former teammates in Washington and wants out.The Cavaliers are ready to oblige in order for them to re-sign Flip Murray and Drew Gooden.</div>SourceI don't know if this would benefit Cleveland, even if he was injured most of the season he still put up good numbers when he did play.It would give them a chance to re-sign Drew Gooden and Flip Murray however.
We don't want to re-sign Flip...The rumor about Hughes being unhappy got taken out of proportion... He is unhappy about his role in the offense. He is more of a slasher... We used him more as a shooter.Hughes is not going anywhere.
I think the Cavs could get some good players/ a good player in return for Hughes. He is a good defender on the perimeter and I think that is something alot of teams that are in playoff contention are looking for.
Nobody is going to want his contract and injury problems...bad signing from the start...when he was gone it was like nobody noticed. :no1:
Hahahaha, you guys got punk'd. From the day that the Cavs signed Larry to that enourmous contract is when I knew that he wasnt worth it. Now you guys are stuck with his big ass contract...good luck with clearing up cap space.
IMO, Drew Gooden was way more valuable to the Cavs this season than Hughes. If Hughes wants to be a bi*ch about offense than the Cavs should let him go to re-sign Gooden.
I agree, Gooden was more valuable to the Cavs this year than Hughes was. Hughes was hurt for a good bit of the season, and it seemed that when he went down, the Cavs took off in the second half of the year. This team showed to play better when he was on the bench, than when Hughes was in the game. I think Hughes saw that the team was better with him on the bench than on the court, and realizes if he sticks around his playing time might go down. I would want consider trying to be traded to if i was Hughes.
I totally agree with all of you. I think that we should trade him and clear up some cap room to sign somebody next year.
I think that pretty soon here both him and Gooden could be involved with a trade. I have heard of the Cavs as being the third party in the Iverson to Boston deal, maybe a big 3 way trade is brewing.

Its a bunch of sh*t, Ill believe it when he comes out and says it. The cavs are going to give him a different role this year.
Agreed...I think Larry played his best when he ran the 1. I am hoping that Cleveland lets him run the point a ton this year, and they can get a decent 2 or 3 to play the perimeter with LeBron.
ya Larry come all the way to BBW and told us himself! If LArry was a point he could have a tony parker-ish game.. drive and dish(they dont have shooters)...or drive and DUNK.ya Larry come all the way to BBW and told us himself! Yeah Hughes was a bad signing. Joe Johnson would've been a much better fit for Cleveland. I don't see the Cavs going that far with this roster. Lebron can only do so much. He needs some help and Hughes isn't the answer.
Um, didn't have to post it 2 times...lolAlso who said I'm Larry Hughes??? I put my name like this all the time I didn't come al the way from anywere I could be in Cail and come on here don't matter dude it's INTERNET!LOL, Hughes will be staying in cleveland drop it.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (mavsfan1000 @ Jul 31 2006, 07:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah Hughes was a bad signing. He know's his role we all know why they didn't get Joe. If u don't see the cavs going far with this roster u need to open ur eyes we had 50 wins last year and took the best team in the NBA(last year) Pistons to 7. And we didn't have Hughes all season also when he played he was never 100% so plz tell me why a bad siging?
He never blended in with the Cavs well and the Cavs took the Pistons to 7 games without Hughes. I really don't know if Hughes really made that team better. I'm pretty sure Joe Johnson would because of his great outside shooting and allowing Lebron more space.
He would shoot to much IMO and James would want the ball alot I say Hughes fit's in great with the cavs and we are a great team.
I just think Larry Hughes doesn't move well without the ball. He needs the ball to be effective while Johnson can do both. Be a spot up shooter for 3 and make some offensive moves. Also Hughes tends to gamble too much on defense and that is why he has a high steal count. I just like Joe Johnson's game better. Especially as a role player for Lebron.
