I'm not defending him at all. I'm just finding your outrage at him hilarious when you mocked mine vs. MIXUM.

"This game was pretty much decided in the fourth quarter at the free throw line. There weren’t some calls in some situations "

    Guess he's getting fined now.

Good. He's standing up for his team.

Maybe they will let these teams play, and we'll be reaffirmed that the Blazers are the better team.

I will too. Nate is pretty bad about standing up for his team, so I would be more than happy to let him know it's appreciated. I wouldn't be surprised if his players didn't pay it for him.

I think he called them out in a way to avoid the fine. He chose his words fairly carefully.

And to think I wanted the Mavs over the Lakers because of the refs.

    I can't do this.

Welcome to the club. There was no team the Blazers could have played where they had a fair shot.

This is David Stern's NBA. It won't change as long as he's commish. And maybe not ever.

PapaG- you have spent many threads bitching about Andre Miller all game long. You've done it many times.

    Hilarious, lol.

Aldridge is on the brink of being a superstar. If we win this series, I think he will enter that fraternity. Catch 22 though, I know.

Like I said, you have spent many threads bashing Miller, especially in games in which he is actually playing well. I'm with you on us not bashing players and enjoying games. So if you apologize for your past offenses, I will believe you are genuine and rep you. Otherwise, you are a hypocrite. That's not a personal attack. That is the truth by definition.

Just got done watching the game. 26 fouls vs 16 Dirk shots as many FT in the 4th as the entire Blazer Squad. The refs took control of the game in the 4th quarter, tell then it seemed decently reffed. If the refs don't fuck us over like they did tonight I like our chances for the rest of the series.

I wish I was staying in Dallas for Game 2 but am looking forward to games 3 & 4. I think those two home games are key to the series. The last playoffs, we have been trounced on at home. Even if we lose on Tuesday, I hope we pounce on them in Portland where I hope Wallace and Matthews will play better and ride some momentum back to Dallas for game 5. It's gonna be a loooong series.

My opinion as well. The Mavs were getting too many second chance opportunities after Camby left the game and Roy over dribbled down the stretch and either took a low percentage shot or threw a wild pass deep in the shot clock forcing a teammate to take a low percentage shot.

The Blazers need to figure out how to attack the Mavs zone defense and they should be able to win this series.

Instead of blaming the refs, lets look at some other factors. Blazers were 2-16 from long range. Jason Kidd (38 year old) scored 6 3s and ended with 24 points. Gerald Wallace being completely shut down. Wesley Matthews a complete non-factor. Brandon Roy going 1-7. I think a lot of things were against the Blazers than just "stern hates us."

Dirk didn't get very many fouls through the first 3 quarters even though there were some questionable no-calls. He started being aggressive and attacking the rim, of course he's going to get calls. Derrick Rose had more FTs than all of Indiana, but that's how he plays. He drives in the paint, he's going to get calls. The refs were fixing the game for him. Same for Dirk here. Every time he got fts, i saw legit fouls.
