Orlando Salido, of Mexico, scored an eighth-round technical knockout over Juan Manuel Lopez Saturday night to walk away with Lopez's World Boxing Organization featherweight title. Salido (35-11-2) punished Lopez (30-1) with strong combinations until 1:39 of the eighth, when referee Roberto Ramirez finally called it quits with Lopez backed into a corner and Salido continuing his assault.
