The Odessa Roughnecks held the Omaha Beef to six points in the second half and used that defensive effort to take a 36-19 victory on Saturday at the Ector County Coliseum. The Roughnecks held a 19-10 lead after the first half as all the scoring occured in the opening quarter. In the third quarter, Odessa's defense held the Beef to two field goals while the Roughnecks offense scored 10 points. Zeke Arevalo connected on a 19-yard field goal, and Marrio Norman scored on a 3-yard touchdown run to increase the Roughnecks lead to 29-16.
