I always wondered why I kept losing my bets betting on WWF.

the refs always get to like a two-and-a-half count before the pinned guy gets up...it's always SO CLOSE to me winning! So frustrating!

    Stomp you are prophet... Amen

I believe it is a combination of conspiracy, stupid coaching/substitution, bad calls.
The refs definitely are calling the games dictated by the league. David Stern is an evil troll and I personally open a bottle of bubbly the day he quits or dies.

As for coaching why was Roy in the game (1-7 FG) on the fast break up by 6 turns the ball over? Where is our PG a person who can run the offense?
Where was Camby in the 4th? We switch every pick and roll and Dirk takes open jumpers over our guards.
16 3's made 2? We were killing them in the paint and took 16 3's. How about going inside, cutting thru the lane and getting to the FT line? Last I checked we made 80% of our free throws.
When you coached 10+ years in the league you are what your record shows. If you are 50% in the regular season and horrible in the playoffs you are an average coach. They gave him a two year contract knowing there is a lockout next year. Since ticket renewal was coming they throw him a bone for the past 6 years. We should still win this series but Nate needs to get his head out of his ass and coach. There is no question in my mind top to bottom Portland has more talent then Dallas.

holy shit, what a fucking joke...

my new idea is that if we are going to get charged for fouls, might as well make them count and fucking beat the shit out of dirk the whole 4th quarter

OMG I just watched it too! That is a fucking joke! I sure hope something could be public regarding this. We need some 3rd party that isn't going to get fined or whatnot that can expose this crap. The refs either need glasses or they need to be fired.

God, that's depressing. It's not like Dirk and Terry are new to the league. The refs know their moves; we fans have seen them before, too.

Honestly, if the Blazers weren't the only "big four" pro team in Portland, I probably wouldn't watch the NBA.

That was appalling. Even in my pain med induced haze (described in another thread), I was screaming at the television. And if I could see it in real time on television in my condition, they had to see it. And you're 100% right: It was the REFUSAL to even review it that makes it inexcusable. IMO, that was the bucket that decided that game.

I also didn't understand this. It was clearly goal tending and a blown call. It forced Denver to shoot a 3-point shot to tie the game instead of being able to win it on their final possession.

This is a call that DEMANDS the refs be suspended for a game and an apology issued. It's the refusal to even review it that's the bigger issue. I hope Stan Kroenke has a nice chat with David Stern today.

LaMarcus Aldridge needs to learn how to shoot and then fall on the ground like Dirk & Terry do.

It really has to suck blaming every single loss on referees.

It has to suck worse knowing that at two of those Larry Brown Trophies belong to Portland and Sacramento but were given to you by the stripes.

If that is how you want to look at it, then sure. I look at it as both Portland and Sacramento crumbled under the pressure.

You would crumble under pressure too if the other team could do whatever they want and you are being called for every single ticky tac foul.

Shouldn't have committed those fouls. Or shoot..what was it? 3-18 from the field?

it is tough, especially knowing you are getting hit on the other end and they are getting away with it.

I think the posters on this board have done a good job discussing the number of things that contributed to the loss, including the fucked up officiating. Check some other threads.

Just got back from Dealey Plaza shooting some interviews. Conspiracy? I believe yes, Stern, Javie, and Spooner and Baveta were all having lunch on the grassy knoll!!

According to this article offensive goal tending is not reviewable with instant replay.

The NBA’s current rules don’t allow for instant replay to be used to review whether a player committed goaltending, but Karl checked out the video to confirm his suspicions.
