No I hate his articles. I think he is a blow hard. But seriously? Why the hell would he write it? I mean read the damn article and see the comments below it. Proves it right there.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
He wrote an article about Roy not coming out for the national anthem and that being a problem. Why does Canzano write anything? In order to get a reaction. Not because he has a valid point.

Roy is an NBA player still, just not a good one. No one rational believes Roy was the SOLE reason the Blazers lost, but he probably hurt the team.

I think he's part of the reason for the loss. I don't even see you disagreeing, so what the hell are you arguing?

And the sentence about Canzano is....well just read it yourself. LOL

touché. God I really dislike Consucko. I really do. It's hard to even use his articles for any source of argument. ARG! -- On the flip side, I wasn't using what he said; instead using what the players said (Terry and Aldridge). So there!

Dumbest comment of the playoffs so far. Congrats, and no surprise that it's from a long-known Roy Basher.

I don't think you know what a "strawman" is. Canzano actually posted over-the-top complaints (and possibly a death threat) about Roy from "fans", and this board was a mess after the game on Saturday, with Roy Bashers tripping over themselves to post.

How is saying people are blaming Roy for the loss a "strawman"? I don't mind people coming at me, but at least have a criticism that makes sense.

Roy's meniscus isn't going to grow back. He's going to play bone on bone for the rest of his career. If he has a good game during these playoffs, good for him, good for the team, good for us. It's not going to be a nightly event anymore, though. Maybe a summer will help him adjust to the new reality of post-meniscus Brandon, maybe it wont. This isn't a slight on Brandon. When he's out there, he's giving his effort. His mind is usually there (and this is not a slight if it isn't, he has a lot on his mind I imagine about his body and playing style now), but his body (knees) just can't keep up.

He wasn't the sole reason we lost the game, but Nate using him as a crutch (as he has done Brandon's entire career) and not subbing in Camby for him when we could have used his rebounding hurt us a lot.

We all wish he was still Brandon Roy, and I still love him for everything he did for the franchise. He just can't do those things anymore. His knees failed him, that isn't his fault, and I don't blame him. They're just done. Sometimes it happens. It's life.

The last 10 games of the season (not including Golden State), Roy has played 20+ minutes 5 times. In those games, the Blazers went 4-1, with wins @ SAS (24 min), DAL (25 min), LAL (29 min) , @UTAH (21 min), and a loss @ NOH (21 MIN).

The Roy Bashers are seemingly making things up as they go. Thank God some of them aren't coaching.

Where did I post that Roy Bashers were solely blaming Roy? It's like arguing with children. They throw out big words like "strawman", thinking they know what it means, and then think they won the argument because of it.

Huh? What the fuck are you talking about? Nate got plenty of blame as well. Don't fucking be a liar, as you always are, B-Roy. I've always wondered why you've kept that name, btw, considering you've been bashing the guy for years.

Some people get off bashing Blazer players. Others get off defending Blazer players.

It's as simple as that. Simpletons need a scapegoat, and the more intellectual types are in it for the long haul. :)

Its doesn't take an 'expert basher' at anything to realize that Brandon has severely lost a step. Its plain to see. He'll show up and have a good game 1 out of every 5 games, or so.

That said, the reason we lost that game was because Kidd had a career shooting night that wont be replicated and we didn't get out on him.

He did, among others. It's the isolation of one guy for criticism, when the team was 4-1 down the stretch with him playing 20+, that seems out of balance. Matthews has a lot to prove in Game 2. If he can't hit shots, Roy needs to play, since at least Roy creates open looks when he's double-teamed. I'd explain how this works, except I'm guessing you're still struggling with the "strawman" concept.

Why is it ironic? Do you need help on that word, too?

You keep on throwing out this double-team thing, hoping it sticks. Go back and watch the game, I just did last night. He was hardly double-teamed like your claiming.

That's not true. The defense was set up to collapse on him on drives, leaving open shots that were missed. Plus, when he posted up, he was doubled or trapped. Or, LMA and Jaason Kidd don't know as much as you do.
