    I completely agree. When people ask does a superstar make his teammates better they're not talking statistically. They're speaking in terms of confidence, focusing of skills and desire to win. The fact that Rose makes his teammates better is the whole rationale behind his MVP bid. Otherwise there would be no reason to place him in front of Howard.

    Keith Bogans, who plays slightly above average defense, got a first place vote for defensive player of the year. If you think that would happen without Rose leading this team . . . well . . .

    Homer Bulls fan or Keith Bogans's mother? It was actually Dr. Jack Ramsey of all people who voted for him. I'm guessing it was some Thibodeau vote-of-confidence nod but Dr. Jack really doesn't need to explain himself (and I doubt he could). To be fair, Bogans is better than slightly above average on defense. I think he's squarely in the good defender category, but nowhere near as good as Deng, and not even on the same planet as Howard.
