He's really young and 7'0" 280 pounds but my god some NBA fans just go ga-ga over him when he's shown nothing.Anyone else come to mind?

I don't know I guess he won't be as good as some thought at first, but he can block shots, and will develope next season once he get's to start I think.Bynum not sure about him he can be good.
Re: Who's 'potential' is overrated? eddy curry. all people talk about is how much potential he has but he has never come near that potential in 5 seasons. i say if he doesn't reach that "potential" this season i consider his career over because then he'll never reach it. how many season's does this guy need?
Re: Who's 'potential' is overrated? Curry hasnt been that bad...he is a poor rebounder but he had a nice scoring year with the Bulls in '04-'05, 16 ppg. Not exactly what we thought his full potential was, but maybe he can improve. He's still very young. Not as bad as KFB...

I dont think he'll ever be too good. It also doesnt help him that he came from the 03 draft class. People will always compare him to the players that came in in 03.
Re: Who's 'potential' is overrated? Well before it was Darius Miles but now it's gotta be Bynum. I believe in the Laker organization when they say he has great potential, but the only twinkle I've seen was that move on Shaq.I believe though.

His time will come and he will recieve oppertunities, but let's see how he handles them. Also, how is his work ethic?P.S. - That move on Shaq was crazy.

Re: Who's 'potential' is overrated? ^^^^ :ban: what's the deal with darius miles? he was hyped to be a really good player out of his first year in high school and he was gettin endorsements back in the day with q rich. i thought he was gonna be really good because he played really good in the mcdonalds game and he was a highflyer. i guess his attitude problems and bong hits put a damper on his potential.

Ainge denies every rumor even if it's true, he even said himself "Don't ask me to discuss trades or rumors, because I will not do it."

But he is a punk, doesn't get along with any coach, and he has had legal issues. What a waste of talent.
