Monty Williams has that undersized, overmatched team playing with heart, fire, and scrap every possesion against the Lakers. The Blazers last night were outworked, outsmarted, and outhustled by a team with enough geezers to collect a mint in Social Security Checks every month. Forget all the players that the Blazers have given up on and gotten rid of over the last few years.... the wrong coach left.

His team is down 12 and has scored 49pts with 3:03 remaining in the 3rd

"McMoron" gets killed for these exact things

    LOL @ this forum

Doesn't take away from the fact that you're impressed with these Hornets that have been behind the entire game and have scored 56pts after 3.

You call that a good job of coaching when at the same time you would kill McMillan for it. That's hilarious.

You expect perfection from Nate yet you are happy that Monty's team has scored 56pts after 3. HILARIOUS.

I think he was laughing at the absurdity of the forum, and how dumb threads like these are made, and not all of the posters on the forum. At least, that's what I gathered.

New Orleans scored 94.9 ppg this year. Nate and his slow ball averaged 96.3. Portland, of course was last in pace at 90.5, and was 11th in efficiency. NO was second to last in pace at 90.9, and was 19th in efficiency.

Not even mentioning the fact the Blazers have had to reinvent themselves a couple times.

    This forum cracks me up.

I was more commenting on the fact that Monty Williams has a worse team than the Blazers, and won a playoff game against the defending NBA champions, plus the fact that the Hornets are playing with a intensity and focus that the Blazers have decidedly lacked in their first two playoff games. New Orleans is going back home with a split, and I'm sure they'll take that. The Blazers? They are going home 0-2 and run off the court in both play and effort in their last game. If the Blazers don't win both home games, I think even the Nate apologists (which I was admittedly one not long ago) will have to admit something's gotta change.

Are the Hornets really that much worse than the Blazers? It's not like they don't have talent and actually some semblance of a bench.

Hornets playing with focus and intensity? They've been down double-digits now for a while. They haven't led in forever. Quite simply, they're being outplayed big time.

Yeah NO got the split. The Blazers were right there as well until the refs took over in game 1. Split is nice, and the Blazers got one last year. They still have to finish the series, though.

Overall, there's really nothing that shows that Monty is some superior coach to Nate, yet this board seems to think it's not even close, and I find that hilarious. My comments were directed towards the whole forum and not just you.

This forum is too easily impressed with everyone...except the players and coaches on the Blazers. This is the exact type of game people kill McMillan for, yet Monty is some genius. It makes no sense.

That's debatable. Monty Williams has Chris Paul; Nate has nobody close to being that type of player, in terms of creating offense for himself and others.

As for something's gotta change, well, he's going to be back next season, like it or not. For some of you, I suggest just quit being a fan for a while, because you guys can't be having any fun.

Look at the talent level Monty is working with right now. Its a miracle were even talking about the series being tied.

I mean Jason Smith, Willie Green, Bellinelli and Aaron Gray are contributors. Scrubs on most teams.

Give Nate Chris Paul and see what kind of a coach he becomes.

Anyone who attributes NO splitting the first two games to Monty and not to the lame effort shown thus far by the coasting defending champs has not been paying attention.
