Yep one game at a time! Good win. Now all we need is all the bench to perform and Dallas is toast. Hope we do that on Saturday!

It was irrelevant. No need to dwell on it. I don't want to feel guilty and take away from this awesome win.

    Some observations:

The game was reffed decently, but there were some blown calls.
That plays where Andre (?I thought it was Roy) should've been called for an offensive foul and Camby an over the back and the Jason Kidd 3 pointer come to mind instantly.

I think Portland got some beneficial calls, but all in all the reffing wasn't why the game ended the way it did. Poor FT shooting by Dallas hurt.

I don't think Portland played all that great (happy they won though). Hopefully they can keep it up for game 4. Dallas' shooters did return to earth, even if they did shoot really well.

If you meant Chris Johnson, that was a great call. And the way Rudy is playing, I'd almost think about Armon also.

Just now realized that what I thought was Nate's best move of the game; putting in Chris Johnson for a Camby whose reactions seem to have really slowed, was actually just done because of the foul situation.

Barea is driving me crazy. Hard to believe he only had 6 points. He is a pain in the ass. Every play he is invloved in there is an offensive foul called on someone. He is a crafty little shit. Chris Johnson probably played the best against him.

Yes, but Nate kept Johnson in the game in the 4th because he was playing well.

I want to stuff Barea in a suitcase and mail him to Abu Dabi.

We won with Batum and Wallace each getting 7 points. That bodes well for Saturday

Well, it's a victory and against a very good team. A team that seems to have a couple guys who have more talent than anyone on our roster. And even Berea can do stuff that nobody on our team can do. Our defense seems to be slow to react when things break down, and slow to cover when somebody else has to release their man; I guess I'm saying the defensive rotation is very poor.

I can't say that this game leaves me optimistic but it's sure better than being down 3-0, and I'm still hopeful that we can somehow figure things out. It just seems that we are both coaching and playing by the seat of our pants, while Dallas has a well established, smooth routine.

Yep, I asked that as soon as Camby picked up his 4th; but it still took a while for N8 to put him in.

Well, I think at that point a blind man listening on the radio at home could have made that call.

I hope all fans can put aside their differences for the next two days and enjoy this win. This wasn't Roy vs. Miller, Nate vs. Miller, whatever. This win was a complete team effort.

Couldn't agree more with every point here. You cannot let Barea hide on the defensive end without making Dallas pay for putting him in the game. Andre Miller will foul him out in minutes in the low post. Even Jason Terry needs to be exposed on the defensive end. Those jumpers won't be going down as easily when hes expending some energy on the defensive end.

Hack-a-Haywood would be perfect, especially with Tyson Chandler in foul trouble or fouled out. When you Hack-a-Haywood, it forces Carlisle to yank him and put in Brian Cardinal. LaMarcus would absolutely beast on him in the low post. I would much rather have Haywood at the line beating us than Dirk or Terry. It makes Carlisle adjust and deviate from his game plan.
