It's good to know that he s working out extra and it's good to know that he is forgetting about the mental gymnastics he has been engaging in on the court, and decided to just play ball. That probably helped more than the extra workouts.

Let's hope B-Roy can keep on an emotional high in Game 4 and ride the momentum he had from Game 3. It sort of reinforces the fact that he is emotional and can get real up and down ... but for his sake, it's good to see him have a good game at the right time. We're going to need another one -- or bench scoring from either Nic or Rudy -- to keep on winning.

    Great story. (b'.')b

I can't believe how quickly some fans have turned their backs on Brandon.

He is, and probably will forever be my favorite Portland Trailblazer, not just for his on-court performances, but for being a great person. He helped bring us back from the JailBlazer era, and revitalized our team, our belief, and gave us all something to cheer for.

I think (and I'm almost certain) he will find himself again, and when he does, I hope some people reflect on their pathetic behavior.

Roy has been absolutely trashed by some people in this community. People with their "What have you done for me lately?" attitudes. I just don't see the value of kicking someone while they are down.

If it's how you choose to deal with the fact that our best player may not be able to return to his former greatness, then so be it. Throw him under the bus, let your frustrations run rampant. Talk him down to the ground.

Just like a jilted lover. Brandon Roy broke your basketball heart.

Carry on with your miserable display, you frigid bitch.

I'm sure I will catch a bunch of shit for this post, but to be honest with you...

    I don't really give a fuck.

It wasn't quick for me. I started getting annoyed with him at the beginning of last season with all the Andre Miller and Greg Oden stuff. It progressed this season and it came to a head with the complaining during the playoffs. Another Blazer guard was, at one point, one of my favorites until he pulled the same shit. Damon Stoudamire decided to complain to the media about playing time and closing out games going into the WCF against the Spurs in 98-99. I never really forgave him for that, and it only got worse as time went on with all the criminal stuff. I just can't stand ego. It's the fucking playoffs. Get off your high horse and accept your role.

I want all the Blazers to play well and succeed, whatever there role. Roy has been playing poorly for weeks and months, having trouble adapting to his new reality, I know that's difficult. I sincerely hope this is not another one game wonder and now it's back to the what we have seen too much of. I don't expect as good a game as he had Thursday but 8-12 points, some assists, and 15-20 effective minutes would work. I do hope it's now obvious to everyone and especially Nate, that for the most part, for Roy to be effective, he needs to play with a PG and not be the PG.

It's the same for me. The loss of his physical ability is a separate issue -- I even feel a little badly for him in that respect -- but before his body fell apart he'd been making increasingly selfish and self-centered comments about his teammates and his role, throwing a lot of people under the bus and turning into a pretty selfish player on the court. Because of that behavior he deserved to be criticized. It's not a "jilted lover" thing for me and I doubt it is for most people who have called him out.

yup. I root for every player on the team because I'm a Trailblazer fan. I don't root for the Blazers because I'm a fan of any single player. Pretty much every pro athlete has a huge ego from being treated as the man from their teenage years on, so it's expected that there will be times when players struggle with their ego and accepting a lessor role. But this is the playoffs when games and team unity matter most. The saying timing is everything applies.

I'm glad Brandon somewhat apologized for his selfishness and that he had a good game in a win, but the next time he's struggling in his PT (and he will) he better be taking a cue from the other bench players and wholeheartedly supporting his teammates. Any player detracting from the team this time of year just doesn't get it.

Print journalism is one of the few professions where a writer can create, and perpetuate doomsday scenarios - and then get to write about how mankind overcame the threat that was created by the journalist in the first place with impunity. While I don't loathe Quick like I do Canzano, I can't help but cringe when I see the masses on comments section of the article ebb and flow with every keyboard stroke from Quick. Most fans know to take Canzano with a grain of salt - do any of you think Quick is getting there too?

Yeah, loath is the perfect word for clownzano, and quick is getting to the same plain in record time.

Not just print is a hype machine, radio is the same. CIP is perfect example that you can put a monkey in a good slot, and he would get good ratings.

You noticed that too?! It was almost like he was trying to explain himself on why he ran the story. Pathetic!

He isn't friends with B! Brandon could care less about this clown! Quick has shit on everybody on this team one time or another. The players couldn't care less about this clown!

Good observation, I think that both of those guys try to be a part of the story rather than report the facts.

I think that's why so many fans just hate Clownzo and Quick. They write for their own fame, not to "report". But whatever, as long as the Blazers do their thing, people like Clownzo and Quick won't be much of an effect to the team.

he's been doing this for well over a decade. I can't think of any other beat reporter that does this... it screams insecurity/look at me! The other reason he probably does this so much is that (as you relay) none of the players trust or want to talk to him... thats all he's got. Combined with his lack of a cursory knowledge of the salary cap and financial requirements surrounding trades, I truly don't understand why he is still employed by the O. Blazer fans deserve better and he deserves to be in the living section
