The Bloomington Extreme improved their record to 7-1 on the 2011 season with an impressive 71-26 road victory over the La Crosse Spartans.

La Crosse started the scoring with a Buddy Rivera touchdown run, but following the missed extra point and an Extreme three-and-out, Winston Taylor nailed Rivera for a safety when the snap sailed over his head into the end zone. From there, the Extreme dominated on both sides of the ball.

Extreme quarterback Rocky Hinds was 13-of-19 for 177 yards and 7 touchdowns. He connected with James Walton for four of those TD's. Walton finished with 110 yards receiving on just those four grabs. Glenn Johnson added three touchdown receptions, while Johnny Gray had one. Andre Raymond added two touchdowns on the ground, to go along with his 59 rushing yards.

The Extreme defense was also impressive again. Antonio "Hollywood" Ficklin had three first-half sacks, while Sean Kelly and Quince Holman added first half sacks. Marcus Winn also had an interception for the Extreme.

Next up for the Extreme is the Wichita Wild-the team that eliminated the Extreme from the playoffs each of the past two seasons-at U.S. Cellular Coliseum on Friday, April 29
